- Strongsville's Jake Scott won another PGA Series title at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL, outdueling Bob Sowards of Dublin to claim his second victory of the year and secure this season's money list title;
|
- the aforementioned Jake Scott also was part of a Golf Digest story about Matt Every and his flying putter;
|
- Windmill Golf Center in Macedonia has a ton of Holiday Golf Deals in their pro shop on clubs, bags, balls, and apparel, a perfect way to grab those last minute gifts (and maybe get a little something for yourself);
|
- if you or someone you know has graduated from college in the last twelve months and is interested in a career in golf, the Northern Ohio PGA WORKs Fellowship is taking applications;
|
- the Donald Ross Society has made a fourth donation to Mill Creek Metroparks for the Mill Creek Golf Courses in Boardman to help them preserve and improve the two Ross courses there. Those donations now total $50K, the most money given to any Ross course in the country;
|
|
- After a solid start to the season, the 1899 Wednesday Scratch Big Skins Game is on holiday break and will resume at the Twinsburg location on January 5th.
