- Allen Freeman birdied his final two holes to shoot 5-under par 139 and squeeze past Scott Saari by one shot in the Senior Cleveland Amateur at Big Met;

- Jake Scott won the NOPGA Club Car Stroke Play #5 at Youngstown CC, while Gary Robison and Gary Rusnak shared the senior side;

- Colin Burns shot 67 to win the Manakiki Championship and Jonathan Riemer and Eric Wonkovich shared the Shawnee Hills Championship title at 72, as a batch of players earned their way into the Cleveland Amateur;

- Tim Reed and Thomas Jonozzo shot the low round of the 2020 Windmill Golf Center NOGA Flighted Summer Four-Ball at Sand Ridge, posting 3-under par score of 69 in the Senior A Flight. Chris Okeson + Steve Putinski and David Biscardi + Jeff Pawlowski shared the A-Flight win with a 70;

- Andy Carr shot 76 in the B Flight to lead the scoring in the 2020 Golfweek Amateur Tour event at Windmill Lakes Golf Club in Ravenna;

BE NICE TO GOLF WORKERS

The Governor and various county and city leaders have recently changed requirements related to COVID-19 based on that day's "science". Personally, I think most of these orders have no basis in fact or logic, and are an infringement on constitutional liberties. Regardless, the ever-changing policies don't come from the golf pro, golf shop attendant, starter, ranger, tournament administrator, or any other person in the golf business. To take out any COVID policy frustration on anyone in the golf business is unfair and unnecessary. Have a beef? Contact your Governor, mayor, county commissioner, etc. But be nice to the golf industry people who serve you -- they are our game's front-line workers!
