- Two-time Warren JFK High School state champ, two-time Ohio Am champ, and current Hudson resident Jason Kokrak (above) won his first-ever PGA Tour event, taking the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek by two shots;

- With a birdie in extra holes, Mitch Camp and Bill McKinley won the NOPGA's Shoot Out at Shaker last Tuesday at Shaker Heights Country Club;

- The OHSAA Division I State Golf Championships are this coming Friday and Saturday, as Hoban, St. Ignatius, Hudson and Stow compete for the Boys title while Louisville, Green, Highland and Jackson challenge for the Girls.
