CALL FOR ENTRIES:

- the Northeast Ohio Golf Tournament Series plays its Boulder Creek 2-M Scramble this Sunday Oct 14, followed by the Valley of the Eagles 2-M Better Ball the following week;

- Cleveland Metroparks Golf hosts its Tour Championship at Manakiki this Saturday, Oct 13 to determine final Player of the Year standings;

- the Little Mountain 3-Ironman Scramble is Saturday, October 20 with a big field expected.

FINAL RESULTS:

- Brian Smith wins the rain-shortened ADGA Golfer of the Year Tournament at Fairlawn CC, while Rick Bryson tops the event's Senior Division;

- talented 2-M amateur teams from Oklahoma and Michigan carpetbag the USGA Four Ball Cleveland Qualifier at Sand Ridge Monday;

- complete results from the OHSAA High School Golf District Tournaments where teams and individuals earn their way to the State Championships in Columbus;

- Mt. Vernon's Jim Troy wins the NOPGA Assistants PGA Championship in a playoff over Windmill Golf Center's Randy Dietz, but both earn entry into the national championship edition.
