A pair of amateur jumble tournaments await players this coming weekend...

CALL FOR ENTRIES:

- the Fox Den Fall 2-M Jumble goes this Saturday, Sep 8 in Stow with 9 holes each of scramble and better ball;

- the CMG Bill Barbour Cup at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville runs this Sunday, Sep 9 with six holes each of scramble, better ball and alternate shot;

- The Egg Invitational at Sand Ridge has its two-day 2-man event Sep 24-25.

FINAL RESULTS:

- Howard Clendenin, Bruno Chirumbolo and Bruce Dean won their divisions in the Turkeyfoot Championship last Sat & Sun;

- Baldwin Wallace captured the Gatorade Collegiate at Zoar GC;

- Fulton's Justin Lower finished mid-pack while Kramer Hickok won the final playing of the DAP Championship at Canterbury;

- Casey Schrader of Pepper Pike Club rolled to a 4-shot win in the NOPGA Professional Championship;

- and results from last week's High School Golf tournaments and matches.

NEWS & NOTES:

- Tam O'Shanter Golf Course in Canton will close this fall, as the sale is moving faster than originally anticipated;

- You won't believe what Evan Wolfe of Conneaut did in Myrtle Beach last week, even though he did the same thing at last winter's Cleveland Golf Show;

- NEOHgolf.com broke the story nationally last Thursday that the DAP Championship would not return to Cleveland in 2019, later cited by Crains and Cleveland.com.
