The first golf tournament ever played under "social-distancing" guidelines was held last Saturday at The Quarry in Canton. It went perfectly. Players took solo carts. Groups were properly spaced. Players finished their rounds, relayed their scores, then went home. Winners were declared online. Every guideline was followed beautifully. But it didn't matter. All "sports tournaments" scheduled for April have been shut down by order of the Governor of Ohio. But golf is still an approved outdoor recreation activity.
