- With a 4-under par 67, Ian Hardesty and Chris Okeson tied atop the Championship Division at the NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Stroke Play #3 at Eagle Creek GC in Norwalk, while Allen Freeman took the Senior title with 69;
- Jake Gilkison + Kyle Rosch from Brookside G&CC shot 8-under par 63 -- including a back-nine 30 -- to win the Columbus District Golf Association's Am/Am Scratch at York Golf Club;
- Bill Courant led the way in winning the Miami Valley Golf Masters #3 in the Gross Blue Tees Flight, shooting 3-under par 69 at Country Club of the North;
- Quail Hollow pro Kevin Sullivan led Team Mentor to the victory with an eagle at the last in the third edition of the Northern Ohio PGA HOPE Cup at Avon Oaks;
- Ellie Hartung of the Madeira Girls High School Golf Team shot 10-under par 60 in the Mariemont Invitational at Reeves Golf Course in Cincinnati on Aug 9;
- Janet Shaheen took the top spot in the WADGA Fairlawn event with an overall low gross score of 81, while Sharon Davis shot 92 in Flight Five for the low net 67;
- The South Central, Deegan-Medin, Toledo 1, and Tanglewood Advanced 1 teams won their divisions at the PGA Junior League Section Championship;
- The Northern Ohio Golf Association is looking for nominees for its NOGA Hall of Fame Class of 2025, see the criteria and suggest a candidate;
- NOGA is hosting a Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike to help kids play 44+ courses in the region for $5 or less! The NOGA Hike is September 16 at North Olmsted Golf Club. Hikers must raise at least $100+ before they register, so sponsor a hiker or donate via Venmo: @NOGA1917.;
