Some tournament series across Ohio open their year-long schedule for entry all at once. Players should check the following schedules now to ensure event access:

NEWS & NOTES:

- Sam Arnold won the SOPGA's Greater Cincinnati Match Play Championship for the second-straight year after back-to-back days of marathon golf;

- The NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Stroke Play #1 + MPQ at Congress Lake Club sold out in three days;

- The top Ohio finishers at the 2026 Drive Chip & Putt Finals included Boys 10-11 Ethan Li of Plain City in third place, and Boys 14-15 Colton Gress of Coshocton in second (who was featured in Golf Magazine for his cross-handed driver bombs);

- Entries are open for the 96th Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship and the 5th Northeast Ohio Women's Amateur Championship at Windmill Lakes GC in Ravenna on Sat May 30 - Mon June 1;

- The Southern Ohio PGA has unveiled its Ohio Team Championship, a new state four-ball for pros and amateurs at NCR Country Club in Dayton on Mon, Aug 17;

- See the recent results from the OHIO.GOLF / NOGA Fantasy Series events conducted for The Masters (won by Pat Graham) and The Players Championship (won by Allen Freeman);

- Cleveland Metroparks Golf quickly sold out its season-opening Match Play event at Shawnee Hills;

- The SOPGA's Play Yellow Birdie Bash fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals returns on May 11th;

- Terry Seagert, a former Toledo District Golf Association rules official, passed away at the age of 80 on April 3;

- The NOPGA is running a 2026 PGA Championship Experience fundraiser where you can bid for a bucket-list golf experience at Aronimink Golf in Philly May 14–17;

- High School Golf Coaches can take advantage of the NOPGA Coach Development Day on Wed, May 20 at Westfield CC, a hands-on event focusing on practical tools, drills, and coaching strategies to take back to your team.
