Ben Kern, PGA General Manager at Hickory Hills Golf Club in Grove City, parlayed his recent second place finish at the PGA Professional Championship into a made cut at the PGA Championship at Aronimink, finishing the major as the low PGA pro for the second time in his career and earning a tidy $23,930. - Blake Sattler of Brookside Country Club won the Championship Division and Sean Kenily of Union Country Club captured the Senior title at the NOPGA Club Car / Pepsi Stroke Play #2 on Monday at Elyria Country Club;
- Carson Stone won the SOPGA Legacy Championship at Moraine Country Club, making birdie on two of his last three holes to shoot even par 71 in a near-constant 25+ mph wind. Bob Sowards won the Senior division, Austin Schoonmaker the Associate division, and Allie White the Women’s division;
- The team of Jonathan Bowers of Upper Arlington and Tom Miles of Dublin advanced to match play in the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, AZ but were eliminated in the Round of 32;
- Joseph DiBiase + Jason Kohler shot a net 10-under par 60 at The Lake Club in Poland to win the NOGA Trillium Creek Dermatology Net Four-Ball #1 + MPQ, while Paul Gibbons + Mike Gary topped the Senior Division with a net 64;
- Zachary Ayers shot even-par 72 to win Overall Boys honors, while Taylor Harstine posted a 1-over-par 73 to capture Overall Girls at the NOPGA NextLevel Junior Tour event at Ashland Golf Club;
- Andrew Belliveau + Robert Yanulavich from the Golf Club at Little Turtle shot a net 58.4 at The Medallion Club in Westerville last Thursday to win the 2026 Columbus District Golf Association Spring Old Pal Scramble by 1.2 shots;
- Brad Trice and Allen Freeman tied at the top of this past week's OHIO.GOLF PGA Championship Fantasy event, both selecting winner Aaron Rai as part of their six-player fantasy team;
- The Southern Ohio PGA raised $203,897 in its most recent edition of the Play Yellow Birdie Bash in support of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Dayton Children’s Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, with more than $1.3 million raised since its inception in 2021;
