- Entry deadline is this Weds, Aug 28 by midnight for the always competitive Turkeyfoot Club Championship at Turkeyfoot Lake Golf Links in Akron this Saturday and Sunday, Aug 31 - Sep 1;
- Bobby Wadsworth of Uniontown, Rob Barkett of Mansfield, and Steve Bedell of Champion turned their RD1 leads into victory at Windmill Lakes in the Senior Portage County Amateur;
- Lakewood's Colin Burns made eight birdies against a lone bogey to earn a two-shot victory over Jimmy Wild of Sagamore Hills in the CMG 7-Club Tournament last Saturday at Ironwood Golf Course in Hinckley;
- It's the final Northern Ohio Golf PGA TOUR Fantasy Series event of the season! Entry deadline is Thursday morning before the first shot is struck for the TOUR Championship Fantasy in Atlanta. Pick 12 players, win big cash prizes;
- Last call for the season-finale of the 2024 Cleveland Metroparks Golf season, the Barbour Cup 2-player 6/6/6 jumble at Sleepy Hollow on Sep 7;
- North Canton's Jeff Mallette finished T35 in stroke play qualifying at the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship this past weekend at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, TN. But he lost in his Round of 64 match to Mike Finster of Saint Petersburg, FL on Monday, 2&1.
- Read a new story in Golf Course Industry magazine talking about the effect of the Black River on Elyria Country Club, Valley of the Eagles, and Forest Hills Golf Course in Elyria;
- Make a NOPGA Team pledge now as they try to make as many birdies as possible in the 5th Annual Smucker's Birdies & Charity to raise funds for the Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation;
- Domenic Maricocchi of Cincinnati shot a final round 3-under par 68 to finish at even par and win the Ohio Mid-Am by five shots at Coldstream Country Club;
