NEWS & NOTES:

- Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman will host two AJGA junior golf events annually from 2026-2029, with Youngstown's 1898 Foundation as sponsor, after the AJGA announcement of a four-year extension;

- Stow's Ian Holt earned Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2026 season with a T9 finish at 9-under par in PGA TOUR Q-School Final Stage this past weekend;

- Canfield's Preston Tolnar shot 7-under par over 36 holes to win the Boys 10-11 Division of the 2025 Hurricane Junior Tour Tournament of Champions by 13 shots, eclipsing the previous scoring record by six;

- Cincinnati's Kevin Hall, a former Ohio State Buckeye golfer who has been deaf since age 2, won the 2025 APGA Adrian Stills Award as a career 8-time winner on the APGA Tour;

- The LPGA event in Cincinnati, the Kroger Queen City Championship, moves to Maketewah Country Club for the May 11 - 17 event;

- The Active Season has closed across Ohio for posting scores to GHIN for local rounds, but post if you travel and play in warm-weather states like AZ and FL.
