-- Preston Tolnar of Canfield won the Boys 10-U division of the Hurricane Junior Tour's Tournament of Champions Dec 7–8 at ChampionsGate in FL;

- The John T. Reis Foundation will act as the title sponsor for the Ohio Adaptive Open again in 2025, renewing after a successful first year;

- The Ben Curtis Family Foundation was featured in the Beacon Journal for helping Akron-area students by giving away 'Birdie Bags' filled with personal items and snacks;

- Want to see how well you played this year? Check out the 2024 GHIN Rewind, which was just released on the GHIN app, allowing golfers to see their personal year-in-review;

- Topgolf has broken ground on a brand new 64-bay facility in Avon, just off I-90 and Chester Road, expected to open late 2025;

- NOPGA members fared well in the TrackMan-based NEXT Golf Tour event exclusively for PGA Professionals. Dan Wasinski claimed victory at 9-under par to take home a tidy $10,000 first place prize! Drew Pierson and Blake Sattler (-6, T8) and Matt Creech and Michael Balcar (-3, T39) also played well. 334 players total competed for a $41,700 purse;

- NOPGA Board Member and Portage Country Club pro Steve Parker is the 452nd PGA Member to earn Master Professional status;


- NOGA is now hiring for 2025 P.J. Boatwright Jr. Internships, focusing on Social Media, Member Services, and Tournament Operations. These are PAID internship positions, so apply now;

- The USGA has created its 2024 Golf Scorecard, a data report that highlights USA golfer participation using scores posted under the World Handicap System™ (WHS). The Scorecard shows info like the number of holes golfers are playing, what types of courses they frequent, and how handicaps are trending.
