Belmont CC's Mike Stone (pink shirt above) played his final 5 holes in 5-under par to win by three at Shawnee CC, while Stone, Steve Parker, Gary Trivisonno and Tom Atchison qualified for the national PGA Senior Professionals Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL in October. - Both Jerrett Fultz and Ryanne Jackson backed up their first round leading scores with solid Sunday finishes to win the inaugural Ohio Adaptive Open at Seneca in wire-to-wire fashion;
|
- The Windmill Golf Center Team of Ian Hardesty, Trent Maxwell, Randy Dietz and Allen Thigpen won the NOPGA's RC Miller Pro-Pro-Am-Am at Alliance CC, shooting 17-under par 123 in a Net 2 of 4;
|
- Siena Maschke won the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation Showcase Individual title with a score of 70, while teams from Magnificat High School again finished 1-2 out of a field of 14 teams;
|
- The Sanctuary Golf Club in North Canton will close for good in October, joining a list of Canton courses that have shut their doors over the last three years;
|
- Support the Folds of Honor by playing in the August 22nd 13 Folds Four-Player Scramble at Valley of the Eagles -- with the course being donated to max out the donation's dollar value!
