Miami Valley Doubles Golf Expands in 2025

Great news for both seasoned golfers and those looking to take up the game! Doubles Golf—an exciting, fast-paced format that emphasizes teamwork and camaraderie — is expanding across the Miami Valley in 2025 following a successful pilot in 2024. With more courses adopting this dynamic style of play, golfers of all skill levels will have even more opportunities to enjoy a format that makes the game more fun, social, and competitive.

Doubles Golf, developed by Jack Nicklaus and his team, is played in a two-person, scramble format. This unique approach to the game fosters inclusivity, speeds up play, and brings a fresh dynamic to the traditional golf experience. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, Doubles Golf provides an exciting way to compete, bond with a partner, and sharpen your skills in a relaxed setting.

The expansion of Doubles Golf in the Miami Valley means that more courses will be offering organized leagues, tournaments, and open play opportunities. Golfers can look forward to:

In the public course space we have partnered with Twlight Golf who refer to their doubles leagues as Twilight D’s. In the private club space a number of clubs are embracing this format and we also have one day events in partnership with Ohio Double’s Co-Founder Brandon Johnson.

The 2025 season will feature new league opportunities, club-hosted Doubles Golf nights, and qualifying events for regional, state and national competitions. Players can form their own teams or find a partner through participating in courses.
