In a warm-up to this weekend’s Chippewa Championship, the team of Dave Trier and Mike Lynch lapped the field in the two man better ball format on Chippewa’s front nine Monday night, shooting a 5-under par 30 and winning by two shots over three teams.
And in a development that can only be attributed to kismet, season-long money leader Mike Kracker and his partner Dr. Jeff Mallette won the night’s only skin with a birdie on the straight-forward par-4 eighth hole, good for a tidy $440. Wow. When it’s your year…
