It was all about rolling the rock, and two teams did it better than the rest in this week’s scramble format.
The team of Mark Thomas and Kurt Peterson (fresh off a T1 at the Lazor) tied with Dr. Jeff Mallette and Mike Kracker on Monday evening in Week 9 of the Chippewa Scratch League, each with a smooth 6-under par score of 30.
Dave Oates and partner Sam Spino managed to nab a third place finish via scorecard playoff at 32, so Oates pads his lead a bit on the 2012 Standings list. But the field is bunching up in the standings, and there is a long way to go.
No outright skins were won in the scramble format this week, so next week Monday is a big carry-over night…
