Lighting, thunder, and a few downpours made golf difficult at Fowlers Mill Golf Course this Thursday. But the Greater Cleveland Skins Game rolled on.
Steve Blackburn Jr., who is on the verge of a record-breaking year, cashed in again with a birdie skin on the long par-four 15th hole.
The other skin on the night went to Dan Predovic with a birdie skin on the 340-yard 12th hole.
Skins pain $138 each.
Pin shot winners were Mike Angie on the uphill 175-yard par three 13th hole, and Tom “Pin Shot” Evans on the 190-yard par three 17th hole. Pin shots paid $42 each.
Next week, the Thompson Cup will be awarded to the season-long Champion. It looks like we will be drinking champagne on Steve Blackburn Jr. again! This final night will be a special “Double Down” event at Powderhorn Golf Course in Madison starting at 4pm. Players need to have competed in 6 or more events to be eligible for this final “Double Down” night.
This will be an opportunity to pay your respect to the Champion of the season. Awards ceremony will follow.
