A rare feat was performed Thursday night: just the second hole-in-one in the 24-year history of the Greater Cleveland Skins Game!
Bill Spear of Munson Township found the lucky 13th hole at Fowlers Mill to his liking by hitting a 7 iron in the cup at the 190-yard par three hole.
But to make feat even more fantastic, the only other hole-in-one in Skins Game history came on the very same hole by John Niedzialek nearly 10 years ago!
Spear’s skin paid $161.00 and his pin shot paid $42.
Steve Blackburn Sr. had the only other skin on the night by making a long putt for birdie on the 350 yard par four 12th hole.
Dave Sotka claimed the Mulligan’s Pin shot worth $56 on the 200 yard 17th hole.
Next week, the Skins Game moves to Madison Country Club with a 5pm start.
The Greater Cleveland Shoot-out will also be held at Madison Country Club on Labor Day Monday starting at 12 noon. Entries for the Shoot-Out are due Saturday by 5pm by calling John Niedzialek at 440-749-7415.
