Senior players continued their superior play in the Greater Cleveland Skins Game at Manikiki on Thursday.
Jerry Miller of Beachwood, at the young age of 61, was the only player in the field to birdie either of the par fives, and took home the entire skin pot of $276 for it.
Jerry birdied the 490 yard par five 3rd hole and the 510 yard par five 6th hole to win two skins, even though he only needed one to take it all. He hit his 3rd shot to 6 inches from 150 yards away at the 6th hole after having already made birdie with a 10 foot putt on the 3rd hole.
Birdies were tied of on both par three’s and the par four 9th hole. The remaining holes were left open.
The conditions were cold at Manikiki but there was no wind making it tolerable.
Pin shot winners were Steve Blackburn Jr. at the 7th hole with the Mulligan’s pin shot worth $48 and Dave Sotka at the 135 yard 5th hole worth $36.00.
Senior players Larry Kerns and Jerry Miller cling to the top of the Greater Cleveland Skins Game Leaderboard after week 3.
Next week, the Greater Cleveland Skins Game travels to Fowlers Mill GC with a 5 pm start.
