Mike Simpson and Jim Krivanek were the big winners in Week 2 of the Chippewa Scratch League, taking the better ball victory and nabbing one of three skins in the process.
Their 3-under par 32 on the front nine was good enough to defeat one quarter of the field who all tied for second place.
The pair could have nabbed an even bigger haul, as Krivanek made an 8-footer for eagle on the par-5 third. But playing in the same group, Bernie Chupek ruined those plans by making a bomb from the front fringe to make an eagle of his own.
