Bobby Spino and Dan Marr cleaned up in Week 9 of the 2018 Chippewa 2-Man Scratch League.
The pair took first place with a scorching 4-under par 68 in the Shamble Combined Score format and took half of the skins pot with birdie/par on holes 16 and 18. This was no easy feat, either, as the wind was brisk and the back nine was set up with some “old course championship” hole locations on a handful of holes.
The big win pushed Marr and Spino into T4 on the jammed-up 2018 Chippewa Scratch League Leaderboard.
Back off the DL, Mark Thomas paired with Doug Flemming to nab second place at even par 72 to post to the Board.
Ty Kovach and Allen Freeman scraped third place and a skin to help them move up into T2 position on the Leaderboard behind the name at the top, Shayne Bishop.
WEEK 10 NOTE: NEXT WEEK MONDAY IS STEAK NIGHT AND THE 3/3/3 FORMAT! Remember to bring an extra $30, both optional: $15 for an incredible steak dinner with all the fixings (crazy!), and $15 for the three hole segments pots of scramble, better ball and alternate shot during play. The normal skins pot and overall total pot will be collected as usual as well. All amateur players are welcome, so let’s have a giant field! Could be a big night in determining the 2018 Leaderboard if a team can sweep up…
