Connor McCaulley and Tommy Miano posted a strong win in the 3/3/3 Format in Week 10 at the Chippewa Scratch League, shooting 5-under par 42 in three hole segments of scramble, better ball and shamble aggregate score.
McCaulley and Miano were also the outright winners in the shamble three with a score of 2-under par 20, and were T1 with six other teams in the better ball segment at 1-under par.
All totaled, they earned a tidy $612.85.
They bested Matt Frey and Jimmy Wild by one shot in the overall nine holes. Frey and Wild also nabbed payouts in the better ball and shamble segments for a solid evening.
But the big winners were John Pattakos and Shaun Gamble: they swept the entire skins pot with a scramble birdie-2 on the par-3 12th hole for a huge $660 haul! They also finished T1 in the scramble segment at 3-under par, netting them another $110 for a whopping $770 total.
It was kismet, too: Gamble, the father of regular competitor Brian Gamble, subbed-in as a last-minute partner with Pattakos for the evening.
With some solid play in the last couple of sessions and the big take in Week 10, Pattakos now sits alone atop the 2020 Chippewa Scratch League Leaderboard…
