Shaun Kloetzer made a hole-in-one with a six iron from 174 yards on the par-3 second hole, propelling him and John Karamas to a big win in Week 9 of the 2020 Chippewa Scratch League.
The ace counted as a two for the team score, netting them one of two skins won on the evening and a tie for first place in the shamble aggregate score format. They finished at 5-under par 65, tying the teams of Matt Frey / Jimmy Wild and John Pattakos / Bill Richards.
The double dip jumps Kloetzer and Karamas to the top of the 2020 Chippewa Scratch League Leaderboard at the mid-point of the season!
A reminder, next week Monday is Steak Night! That means the 3/3/3 format (a back-nine scramble, then better ball, then shamble), so bring some extra cash. The entry fees per player for next Monday’s 3/3/3 Steak Night finals are $10 for each three hole segment ($30), $15 for the 9-hole total, and $15 for the skins pot. The jumbo steak dinner with all of the trimmings is $20. Golf+cart is separate.
