Canton South has had a girls golf team for only six years and were very excited to have their first winning season in 2021. The Wildcats will have a few varsity players to replace this coming fall. They will look to a strong junior class to help them try to advance to Districts. Delaney Kruger, first team All Tri-County and first team All EBC for the last two seasons, had a breakthrough performance at last year’s Sectional tournament and could be the leader this year for the Wildcats. “I expect another tremendous effort from her this year as well,” said coach David Mullett. She will have a great supporting cast this year with Foster and Irwin returning, and the addition of 2 fantastic freshman in Franks and Cramer. Mullett elaborated, “We have never had this much depth, so I am excited to see what we can do this year!”
