The third playing of the Northern Ohio PGA HOPE Cup – an event conducted by the Northern Ohio PGA Foundation to celebrate the members of our country’s Armed Forces through a day of golf, inspiration, awards, lunch and fun – will be held Wednesday, August 6 at Avon Oaks Country Club.
PGA HOPE is an acronym for Helping Our Patriots Everywhere.
17 teams consisting of one member of the NOPGA (serving as a captain) and four veterans, many of whom are overcoming physical and/or emotional disabilities and have been part of the PGA HOPE program throughout the year, will play a 9-hole scramble beginning at 9:15 a.m.
Each of the 17 NOPGA members have been trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency.
