The USGA has accepted a record 9,860 entries for the 113th U.S. Open Championship at Merion Golf Club, in Ardmore, Pa., surpassing the 9,086 entries for the 2009 Open at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.
The Local Qualifying event for the U.S. Open in the Greater Cleveland area will be held May 7th at Beechmont Country Club.
