Local pro Walt Robertson qualified yesterday to play in the 2008 U.S. Senior Open at the Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs on July 31 – August 3. Robertson shot 3-under par 69 in the Michigan sectional qualifier to be one of only two players to earn a berth from that event.
Ryan Stefanski and Allen Freeman nabbed their second victory of the season in the Monday Chippewa Scratch League, posting a 5-under par score in a scramble format on the front side.
