DAY 2 RESULTS: 2025 WOSGA Amateur Championship

Tuesday, July 1st, brought Day Two action of the 102nd Women’s Ohio State Amateur Championship at Weymouth Country Club. With the first two rounds of match play now completed in the Championship Division, eight players remain with a chance at an exemption into the U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes.

The number two overall seed, Anna Ritter (pictured above), put on a clinic Tuesday after missing out on medalist honors by one stroke in Round 1. The top remaining seed, an Illinois Women’s Golf Team member, won her matches 5&4 and 6&5.

Leeann Harker, a member of the Ashland Women’s Golf Team, pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament so far, knocking off medalist Susan Glasby of Chesapeake to advance to the Quarterfinals. Harker won her first match on the last hole and took full advantage of it in her second match, winning 5&4.

Madison Reemsnyder was dominant throughout the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. The Xavier Musketeer won both her matches 6&5 to secure an early tee time on Wednesday.

Morgan Rodgers, an Ohio University Bobcat, will match up against Reemsnyder tomorrow morning after winning both her matches on Tuesday. Rodgers was able to put together a solid day, winning the first match 4&3 and her afternoon match 2&1 to set up an all-top-five Quarterfinals matchup.

Sabrina Coffman, the number five overall seed, had a consistent day winning her matches 5&3 and 4&2. Coffman will look to keep it rolling against Mogan Rodgers tomorrow morning.

Clare Yeazell, a Bowling Green State Women’s Golf Team member, snuck by in her first match of the day, clinching on the 18th hole. Yeazell would take that momentum into the afternoon, winning 3&2 to make it to the Quarterfinals.

Kylee Heidemann, from the University of Dayton, would have the same formula Tuesday, winning on the final hole to move onto the afternoon matches. Kylee would win her afternoon match 4&3 to set up a Flyer vs. Flyer match tomorrow morning against teammate Emma Sparling.

Sparling took her afternoon match to the very end, winning in 20 holes with no other players on the course. Sparling would end up playing more holes than any other player on Tuesday, as her first match of the day went to the final hole as well.

Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches will take place at Weymouth tomorrow morning, along with the final two rounds of both consolation brackets.
