Blake Sattler of New Philadelphia, Ohio won the Lake Erie Golf Tour’s final event of the 2011 season, the Tour Championship at The Elms Country Club in Massillon on Thursday.
Sattler turned at 3-under par for the front nine then followed that up with a solid 2-under back nine to finish at 5-under par total. His 67 was good for a one stroke win over Ryan Gutowski of Fairlawn, Ohio, who shot 68.
With the win, Sattler also claimed the guaranteed $1,000 first place check!
In the open Amateur Division, Zach Glassman once again claimed the top spot after firing a steady even par 72 to win by one stroke over Mike Sweany of North Lawrence, OH. Glassman earned the $500 guaranteed amateur prize for the victory.
Pro Tim Ailes of Lewis Center, OH won the 2011 LEGT money list title, while Glassman finished second for the season as an amateur player. Final 2011 LEGT Money List here.
