It was an interesting two-day period for the 2025 Ironwood Course Championship, starting with gray skies and pouring down rain on Day One then not a cloud in the sky and perfect weather on Day Two.
With 24 players in the field for this first year event, there was a lot of good golf despite the testing conditions.
Steve Schiegenberg earned a comeback victory in shooting a Sunday round of 3-under par (77-68=145) and qualifies for the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship in August.
Based on the field size, the top 3 non-exempt finishers were eligible to qualify for the Cleveland Am. Luke Butcher and Jarrod Kasunick tied for second place one shot behind Schiegenberg, earning the final qualifying spots.
