After two days of qualifying rounds and five matches to make it into the Finals, Charlie Mullin from The Camargo Club won in convincing fashion over Brock Rumpke of Maketewah Country Club in the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association’s 116th Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Championship.
Rumpke drew first blood in the match at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati with a birdie on the par-5 fourth.
But Mullin won the next two holes to take the lead, making birdie on five and a par on the sixth.
From there, Mullin never looked back.
After making the turn 1-up, Mullin won the 10th with a birdie and the 12th with a par. Rumpke grabbed one of those holes back with a birdie-2 on the par-3 14th, but Mullin won the next hole to return to 3-up.
When both players made par on the 16th, Mullin earned the 2025 title by a 3 & 2 margin.
