Storied Northeast Ohio golf professional Gary Trivisonno will take on a new role this summer: as a local Tournament Director for the Sunbelt Senior Tour, to bring to Cleveland an event of this national series.
The Sunbelt Tour’s three-day professional event in Cleveland (in which amateurs can play too!) will feature a purse of at least $20,000, and will be played at the always challenging Little Mountain Country Club in Concord August 22 – 24.
A pro-am event will be held in advance of the tournament as well.
“The owner of the tour, Don Barnes, asked me if it made sense to have a Sunbelt Senior Tour event in Cleveland before their big one in Niagra Falls,” Trivisonno said. “I said sure, but as tournament director I wanted it to be a special event. We already have two main sponsors in Jackson-Dieken & Associates and Pat O’Brien Chevrolet. And our committee is working hard to make it a great event.”
