March 2019 was significantly better financially for golf courses in Greater Cleveland vs. March 2018.
This time around, rounds played in the Cleveland region were up a whopping 139.2% compared to last year, bring the 2019 year-to-date total to 119.4% better than the first quarter of last year.
The oddity: the regional temperature was down 1.2 degrees and the rainfall was up 22% for March 2019. But the good weather days were great.
Nationally, rounds played in March were flat according to the Golf Datatech National Rounds Played Report. March showed a 0.1% increase for all rounds across the USA, mostly on the strength of strong play on the west coast. That leaves the 2019 year-to-date rounds total down nationally at 2.7% compared to 2018.
