The North Canton father-and-son team of Jeff and Ryan Mallette earned a berth in the 2026 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship on Monday, taking medalist honors at the Golden Ocala qualifier in Ocala, Florida.
Team Mallette shot six-under par 66 with a slow start, making bogey at the 10th hole, their first of the day. They rebounded with a birdie at 12, then Dr. Jeff made birdie at the 18th to turn at 1-under par.
After the turn they caught fire, making birdie on five of the first six holes of their second nine. Jeff made a 50-foot bomb on the sixth hole, and Ryan sealed their victory with a tricky up-and-down on the ninth.
The pair advance to the championship proper at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, AZ on May 16-20, 2026.
