TJ Kreusch, Dhaivat Pandya (Mid-Am), and Peter Samborsky II (Senior) earned 2025 Miami Valley Golf Player of the Year honors in their respective divisions.

2025 MVG Player of the Year: TJ Kreusch
University of Dayton golfer TJ Kreusch has been selected as the 2025 Miami Valley Golf Player of the Year after earning 620 points across a strong competitive season.
Kreusch’s performance included a tie for 3rd in the Metropolitan Championship, top-20 finishes in both the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur Local Qualifiers, and a tie for 2nd in the Ohio Amateur, where he finished alongside then-amateur Jordan Gilkison.
These results secured his first Player of the Year honor.
Finishing behind Kreusch in the final standings were Brody Sims in second place, Ben Cors — the 2025 Metropolitan Champion — in third, and Jordan Gilkison in fourth.

2025 MVG Mid-Am Player of the Year: Dhaivat Pandya
Dhaivat Pandya is the 2025 MVG Mid-Amateur Player of the Year, acknowledging his consistent performance throughout the season in both state and regional events.
In his first year of eligibility — having turned 25 last December — Pandya made an immediate impact on the Miami Valley Mid Am golf scene. Competing in six events this season, he accumulated a total of 317.5 points, earning the top spot through a series of steady finishes highlighted by his top-20 performance in the Ohio Amateur Championship — his largest point-earning event of the year.
Finishing second in the standings was Paul Day, who earned 240 points thanks to strong results in the Metropolitan Championship and a runner-up finish in the Miami Valley Mid-Amateur Championship. In third was six-time Player of the Year and four-time Mid-Amateur Player of the Year Jeff Scohy, whose continued high-level play kept him among the region’s most consistent performers. Tied for fourth were Josh Elliott, the 2025 Mid-Amateur Champion, and Issaak Ramsey, both of whom delivered strong seasons to close out the top five.

2025 MVG Senior Player of the Year: Peter Samborsky II
Miami Valley Golf is pleased to recognize Peter Samborsky II as 2025 Senior Player of the Year, marking his fourth overall Player of the Year honor and his first in the Senior Division.
A longtime standout in the Miami Valley golf community and one of the area’s most accomplished amateur players, Samborsky adds this Senior title to his three previous Player of the Year awards — earned in 2006, 2007, and 2019. Notably, his first two titles came when Miami Valley Golf began recognizing Players of the Year nearly two decades ago.
In his first full year of senior eligibility, Samborsky delivered an outstanding season highlighted by several notable accomplishments. He qualified for the U.S. Senior Open, finished inside the Top 10 at the Ohio Mid-Amateur, and placed second in the Senior Metropolitan Championship, finishing just one stroke behind champion John Fryman.
Despite a slow start in that 36-hole event, Samborsky rebounded impressively, playing his final 27 holes at five under par, a performance that reflected the steady, high-level play that defined his season.
Samborsky’s total of 375 points secured a 50-point margin over three-time and defending Senior Player of the Year, Pete Betzold, who finished second. David Clancy placed third, followed by John Fryman, the 2025 Senior Metropolitan Champion, in fourth.
All three players will be formally recognized for the Player of the Year achievement at the 2026 Spring Better Ball, scheduled for Monday, April 27th at NCR Country Club.
