The Northern Ohio PGA’s Selection Committee has named Matt Rutland to the NOPGA Section Staff as Director of Competitions.
Matt joins the Section staff from Westwood Country Club, where he has served as PGA Head Golf Professional and First Assistant under PGA Director of Golf and Section Member John Sico for the last nine years.
Matt began his golf professional career at The Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, SC in 2006. Career stops at Haig Point Golf Club in Hilton Head, SC and Sycamore Creek Country Club in Springboro, OH preceded him becoming a Northern Ohio PGA Member in 2011.
Matt will manage the Section Tournament Program in addition to the Junior Golf Program, plus assist with Member Services. Matt brings years of event management experience plus his Rules Certification to the Northern Ohio PGA and Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tournaments. He will begin in his new role starting on January 6th.
Matt and his wife Sarah have three children and reside in Westlake, Ohio.
