Round 1 of the Ironwood Course Championship in Hinckley was played today, and it was quite an event to watch the rain fall for 30 minutes causing a delay for an hour while the Hinckley course drained.
Course conditions were challenging for the back nine after the rain delay halted the momentum of more than a few players.
Luke Butcher posted a 1-over par 72 to lead the field on Saturday, with Thomas DeCaro one shot behind that.
