The Lady Longhorns pulled out a victory on Hawken’s home course, Punderson on Thursday. After the first three scores came in, Hawken held a 1 stroke lead. Sophomore Julia Colton’s score of 50 gave the ‘Horns the 9 stroke win to move Lutheran West to 4-1 in the CVC and 8-1 overall. Senior Sam Webb led Lutheran West with a 43, followed by Senior Nadia Kauntz (49) and junior Callie Wabeke (50). “The conditions with the wind was tough today and we had some 3 and 4 foot putts that just didn’t drop for us”, stated Coach Dave Ressler. “Hawken’s 1 and 2 played very well and our 3 and 4 solid play made the difference.” Hawken was led by Sophomore Ella Wong (39).
