In the American League, Medina Highland, a quality team always among the best teams in Northeast Ohio, beat the Kent Roosevelt varsity girls team, the defending champions of the Suburban American Conference, in the first event of the season.
Highland fired a 320 to grab first place, led by Isabella Goyette who was medalist with a 76.
The Kent Lady Riders pulled together as a team to fire a 345 for second place, led by Sydnie Leavery’s 79 and Maren Seaholts’ 82.
The Aurora Lady Greenmen shot a 363 behind the solid shooting of Brooklyn Millard who scored a 78, good for a tie for second place. Sydnie Leavery finished in third.
In the National League, Stow-Munroe Falls took the title by five shots over Hudson. Ellie McCoy of Stow was medalist with a 79.
