RESULTS: 2023 The Greatest Golfer Spring Singles

The Greatest GolferRain stayed away from Youngstown Country Club on Saturday but Blake Prince showed, firing a 67 at to earn top honors at the Belleria Pizza Spring Singles event to launch the 2023 Greatest Golfer season.

The East Liverpool/Cleveland State grad led 57 players, with a 71 by George Allen and 72s by Joe Cilone and Evan Listini right behind him in top flight gross play.

In Flight 2, Jay Pappas of Columbiana fired a 75 to win his flight, with Kyle Firm and Rory Vandenberg at 78 and Joe Cubellis’ 79 right behind.

In Flight 3, salty veteran Kurt Beler posted a 79 to win, with Tyler Stanley at 80, and Rich Rosen and Hank Morris at 81.

The event paid top-two Gross and Net performances. Payouts went to:

Flight 1:
Prince – 1st Gross
Erik Wonkovich – 1st Net
George Allen – 2nd Gross
Dylan Todd – 2nd Net

Flight 2:
Pappas – 1st Gross
Kyle Firm – 1st Net
