Vaughn Snyder + Dave Oates shot a scorching 10-under par better ball score of 61 at Turkeyfoot Lake Golf Links on Saturday, winning the rescheduled Akron District Golf Association Parke H. Thornton Better Ball by two shots.
Snyder had the hot hand and a clean scorecard, as he made seven birdies with no bogeys to shoot 64 on his own ball. In a perfect ham-and-egg scenario, all three of the birdies made by Oates came on holes where Snyder made par.
Lucas Liberatore + Brett Dubin finished in second place with 63, while Ryan Stefanski + Rick Deichert took third place one shot behind that.
The final event of the ADGA season is the annual ADGA 2-Player Jumble on Saturday, October 4th right back at Turkeyfoot Lake Golf Links.
