The Medallion Club of Westerville won the Columbus District Golf Association’s Pilkington Cup #3 event at Scioto Reserve today, shooting 13-under par 131 in the two-best-balls-of-four format finale. Adam Pusateri, Shaun Carney, Bill Harvey, and Chase Buchanan combined for four holes with double-birdies and six with a solo birdie, giving back just one shot on the day at the seventh.
But the day’s bigger story was which club would win the year-long, three-event 2025 title: defending Pilkington Cup champions Brookside Golf & Country Club or Powell’s Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club. Kinsale entered the final event in the lead, up one point.
Finishing two shots behind Medallion, Brookside took second place for the second time this year in a Pilkington Cup event — T1 in the other — while Kinsale finished T4 in Event #3, three shots behind Brookside and five overall.
That difference allowed Brookside to defend their crown by 1.5 points, with Andy Hire, Robert Davidge, Jake Gilkison, Scott Anderson, Charlie Hendrickson, Ben Traetow, Sam Miller, Michael Cress, and Jon Lust all contributing to the Brookside team victory.
