A field of 96 players teed off in the DDWGA Spring Shamble event played at Sycamore Creek Country Club in Springboro. In damp but mild conditions, the players competed in a 2-better-balls-of-four-players shamble format, using the best tee shot from each group to start.
In the Gross Division, Tee Pazitney, Molly Horstman, Alee Everman, Cindy Burton were the Flight 1 winners, while Kay Wortham, Marian Glancy, Stephanie Riegel, Katie Blumhorst captured Flight 2 and Renee Arana, Nicole Fox, Kim McCrae, Marie Greene won Flight 3.
In the Net Division, Marty Dale, Sandy Finkes, Marla Flinn, Jacque Howell won Flight 1, Tracy Murray, Melissa Pour, Connie Cain, Janet Bly came out on top in Flight 2, and Sara Sorey, Betse O’Keefe, Monica Stomps, Marsha Swaim were victorious in Flight 3.
In addition to the Spring Shamble, the DDWGA awarded three scholarships to the 2025 recipients at a dinner held after the day’s play. The next event on the 2025 DDWGA schedule is the DDWGA Twin Best Ball at Walnut Grove Country Club in Dayton on Monday, June 30.
