A field of 100 players teed off on Monday, July 14, at Walnut Grove Country Club for the second event of the Dayton District Women’s Golf Association season. The event was rescheduled from June 30 due to rain. The Twin Best Ball consisted of 18 holes of stroke play with the two better balls of the four used for scoring. The event had three flights with both gross and net winners from each flight.
In the Gross Division, Tee Pazitney, Molly Horstman, Laura Deters, Lori Schroeder captured first place in Flight 1 while Jeannie Joyce, Marian Glancy, Jessica Chilton, Sylvia Baker won Flight 2 and Beverly Moore, Toni Mims, Norma Dycus, Kayann Legg were victorious in Flight 3.
In the Net Division, Gail Moore, Gwen Hoover, Becky Knipper, Bev Cultice placed first in Flight 1 with Jeannie Joyce, Marian Glancy, Jessica Chilton, Sylvia Baker winning Flight 2 and Teresa Chandler, Kim McCrae, Kay Wortham, Janice Beckett capturing Flight 3.
The Closest to the Hole winners included Janet Bly on hole 12, Pam Henkener on hole 17, Ruth Oberkrom on hole 3 and Morgan Rodgers on hole 5.
The next event on the 2025 DDWGA schedule is the DDWGA Fall Classic on Monday, August 18, at Sugar Valley Golf Club.
