Frank Guise won the Northern Ohio Golf Masters Fantasy Tournament this past weekend, earning a two stroke victory with a team score of 30 strokes under par.
Rory McIlroy completed the Grand Slam by winning The Masters Tournament in a playoff, making a birdie on the first playoff hole to top Justin Rose.
Guise’s top-4 selected players included winner Rory McIlory (-11), playoff runner-up Justin Rose (-11), Jason Day (-5), and Jordan Spieth (-3). It certainly helped Guise’s chances that all six of his selected players made the cut in Augusta.
Joshua Prok came in second place, two shots behind Guise at 28 strokes under par. Prok’s roster featured McIlroy, former Masters winner Patrick Reed (-9), former Kent State golfer Corey Conners (-5) who brought some of that Canadian sports interaction, and Spieth.
Rosemarie Chrisant came in third place one shot behind Prok at 27 strokes under par. Chrisant tabbed McIlroy, Reed, Day and Viktor Hovland (-2).
A whopping 69 teams took part in the Masters edition of the Fantasy Golf Series pool, which made for a tidy payout for the top three finishers. For their winning team selections, Guise won $345 for his title, Prok earned $207 for second, and Chrisant took home $138 in third.
