Jon Brimley + Gary Michel were the picture of consistency on Thursday at Sylvania Country Club. The pairing posted a 30 on the front-nine, then was able to match it with the same score on the back side. Brimley and Michel were able to put together a bogey-free round, taking home the low gross score on the day with 12-under par 60, winning by two.
Murray Drell + Scott Sherman finished as the runners-up in the Gross Division, but took advantage of the three strokes they were allocated to finish as the low net team at an adjusted 13-under par 59. Drell and Sherman finished the day with 11 gross birdies, including a scorching start making birdie at five of their first six holes.
In the Five Iron Golf Closest-to-the-Pin Contest at Sylvania Country Club, Brian Kelly won the $250 Five Iron Golf Gift Card with the closest approach of the day to 2-feet 6-inches on the 144-yard par-3 9th hole. This Five Iron Golf CTP contest will be run at every NOGA Net event in 2025, with a $250 card up for grabs each time.
