The 2025 NOPGA Pro-Assistant Championship brought together over 140 Northern Ohio PGA Professionals and Associates at Barrington Golf Club in Aurora for a memorable day of competition and camaraderie. Despite breezy afternoon conditions, players enjoyed the opportunity to team up with their co-workers.
The highlight of the event came late in the day, as the second-to-last group posted the winning score. Dan Terry + Josh Widner of Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown fired a stellar 7-under-par 65 in the better ball format to take home top honors.
Close behind, several teams finished at 6-under-par, including: Steve Bordner + Evan Bryan (The Country Club); Cory Kumpf + Blake Sattler (Brookside Country Club); Jason Nussbaum + Kelcey Eberle (Congress Lake Club); and Jared Toom + Justin Roth (GolfTEC)
The NOPGA tournament schedule continues this week at Firestone Country Club’s Fazio Course with the 40th Ohio Senior Open on Wednesday and Thursday, May 28–29.
