Two Teams Tie at Alliance Country Club
The RC Miller Pro-Pro-Am-Am, held today at Alliance Country Club in honor of long-time member RC Miller, brought together 18 teams of four players for a 2-net best ball of 4 format. Amateur handicaps were capped at a maximum of 9.
The weather was hot with very little wind, providing a challenging test for the players. After a full day of competition, two teams tied for first place at 14-under par.
Cory Kumpf, PGA (Brookside Country Club), Steve Parker, PGA (Firestone Country Club), and amateurs Scottie Robb (a) and Jaxon Robb (a) tied with Gregg Matthus, PGA (Shady Hollow Country Club), Jon Lenton (a), Jon Viglio (a), and Jon Jones, PGA (Youngstown Country Club).
In third place, with a score of 13-under, was the team of Mitch Camp, PGA Life Member, Adam Jones (a), Tom Laubacher (a), and Ned Weaver from Windmill Golf Center.
The Northern Ohio PGA tournament schedule continues Sunday, June 29th at the 104th Ohio Open Pro-Am at Firestone Country Club’s North Course, benefitting the Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation.
