The 2025 Women’s Amateur Championship Qualifier for the Northern Ohio region was conducted by the Northern Ohio Golf Association on Wednesday at Shawnee Country Club in Lima, Ohio. Thirty women teed it up Thursday morning in hopes of claiming one of two qualifying spots for Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon on Aug. 4-10, 2025
Starting times were delayed by two-hours on Thursday due to the damage the course incurred from the Wednesday night thunderstorms.
Lily Bargamian was able to right the ship throughout the day, making birdies to offset her bogeys. The Oakland University Golden Grizzly bounced back from her front-nine 37 in a big way, posting four birdies on the back nine to shoot a one-under par 71. That total would tie the best round of the day and secure Bargamian a spot at Bandon Dunes in August.
Keira Yun, a 16-year old from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was even keel throughout the day, even while battling the weather conditions early in the day. Yun posted only two bogeys and was able to beat her front-nine score by one shot to claim a share of the low round on the day at Shawnee.
