Sixteen players participated in the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship Qualifier in the Cleveland area, in hopes of advancing with one of the three spots. It was an overcast day at Portage Country Club in Akron, with some light rain mixed in as the final groups finished in the early afternoon.

Susan Glasby was able to ride the wave of momentum on Wednesday as she would finish birdie-birdie to take home medalist honors. Glasby had an up-and-down front nine, but managed to keep herself right in the mix heading to the back nine. The 2025 Ohio Women’s Amateur medalist would tally five total birdies on the day in her victory.

Alexandra Taylor started with a double-bogey on the first hole but was able to bounce back immediately with a birdie on the second. The native of Canada would find her level as she would play the final 16 holes at even par, including two birdies en route to claiming her spot at Monterey Peninsula C.C..

Jennifer Wang took an early lead after making birdie on two of her first four holes. She would struggle the rest of her front-nine, but would shoot an even par 36 on the back to claim the final Qualifying spot. The California native will have a tee time a lot closer to home for the 38th U.S. Women’s Mid-Am Championship in Monterey.
